November 22 & 23, 2025

The Field of Dreams Car Show 2025 marked the event’s ninth year. After learning my lesson last year—when I arrived later in the morning and wound up way back in the swap meet field—I decided to arrive a day early and get closer to the action.
Getting There Early
I arrived, set up my booth at my van and had an easy night watching TV and working on a video editing project. The next morning, as the other vendors and car show vehicles started arriving for the first day, I stretched, stepped outside and was ready to go.
Every day tends to bring a different mix of cars. Many of the same vehicles come back for both days, but there are always enough changes to make another trip around the field worthwhile.
“One Pc. At A Time”
When I managed to sneak away from my booth, I found a club with a collection of classic trucks that really caught my eye. Usually I’m looking at cars, but these were old-school over-the-road trucks.
One in particular had me looking it over: “One Pc. At A Time.”
The AMSOIL logo caught my eye, and we talked for a while about how he had built the truck and how he uses AMSOIL for all of its fluids. The club even invited me to one of their upcoming show events, but unfortunately I already had something scheduled for that date.
A Flashback to the ’80s
By the second day, the mix of cars had changed a little, and I found two new favorites that took me straight back to the 1980s.
The first was a pristine Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. This was the first time I’d actually seen one in person, and I was even more impressed seeing the technology it had for its time.
And speaking of advanced technology, that’s where my next favorite 80s car came in: K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider.
It may not have the technology of a new Tesla, but K.I.T.T. will always stands out in a crowd!

Always More to See
Several other cars from all eras made appearances throughout the weekend. The field is always full, and it’s almost impossible to see everything when you’re also trying to keep an eye on your booth.
There’s always that moment when you wander far enough away that you can no longer see your booth—and start wondering if you might be missing that million-dollar sale.
That’s part of the fun of doing these shows, though. There’s always another interesting car somewhere out in the field.
