On July 15, 2026, AMSOIL announced a new formulation of Signature Series 100% Synthetic Motor Oil, saying the updated formula pushes protection and performance further.
The new formulation was developed as AMSOIL continues to evaluate changing engine technology and the demands placed on modern lubricants. The company highlighted testing designed to evaluate the updated oil’s ability to protect engines under demanding conditions.
Among the results AMSOIL highlighted was a 125,000-mile study in a Ford F-150 Raptor, along with testing involving wear, oil consumption, volatility, piston cleanliness and protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).
AMSOIL says the new Signature Series formulation is designed to provide the high level of protection and performance expected from its flagship synthetic motor-oil line.
What AMSOIL Announced
The July announcement highlighted several areas of testing and performance, including:
- Long-term engine protection — testing involving a Ford F-150 Raptor over 125,000 miles.
- Wear protection — analysis of wear metals following extended use.
- Oil consumption — the long-term test showed no oil consumption during the study described by AMSOIL.
- Volatility — testing of how well the oil resists evaporation at high temperatures.
- Piston cleanliness — testing designed to evaluate deposit control.
- LSPI protection — testing related to low-speed pre-ignition, an important concern with modern turbocharged gasoline engines.
