For Texas drag racers John and Krista Long, racing is a team effort built on experience, preparation, and a willingness to keep improving. This husband-and-wife team competes in drag racing and drag-and-drive events, maintaining and developing much of their own equipment.
Their racing program includes John’s 2001 Camaro B4C, a retired police car, a 1968 Camaro, and Krista’s distinctive Chevette powered by a 4.3-liter V6. Krista has competed in drag-and-drive events, including Rocky Mountain Race Week, where preparation and reliability matter as much as performance at the track.
Why They Chose AMSOIL
After trying different automotive products, John and Krista switched to AMSOIL in 2015. They experienced performance improvements and continued using the products based on their own experience.
John summed up their experience this way:
“AMSOIL simply performed better than anything else we had used.”
Their story reflects the work that goes into grassroots motorsports: maintaining equipment, learning from setbacks, and finding what works for each application.
