1999 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Mustang GT
I moved on from the van in August 2001 and purchased a 1999 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Mustang GT. As soon as I could, I converted it to AMSOIL and later added a dual bypass filtration system, which was one of the more unique upgrades on the car. I entered it in several Mustang car shows and even won third place in the specialty category once. It became both my test vehicle and a familiar part of my booth display, especially at the Mid-Florida Mustang Club’s Mustang and Ford Round Up, where it appeared year after year through 2013. Members still ask me every year when I set up and support the show when I’ll have it back out.
The Mustang eventually became the car I set aside for restoration. When the fuel pump went out, it sat in my driveway while I collected parts and began planning the rebuild. That restoration started in 2019 and is still ongoing after a setback in 2023 interrupted my progress. One day, it will be back on the road with a few more improvements.
