It’s been a while since I’ve posted a blog, or sent out a newsletter for those of you on my mailing list from my Web Site. I thought I’d post a few brief announcements of new products that are now available and coming up from Amsoil.
Amsoil Synthetic 5W-40 Premium Diesel Oil
The latest is a new diesel oil. The Amsoil Synthetic 5W-40 Premium Diesel Oil (Product Code DEO) is specifically for 2007 and newer heavy-duty and pickup truck diesel engines that now require the API CJ-4 oil specs. This oil is also backwards compatable with previous year engines.
Amsoil also released some more Ea Air Induction Filters. These are the filters designed as replacements for other brands, such as K&N. I added one of these to my Mustang a month or so ago when I upgraded my intake to a large Ram Air Intake from JLT Performance. I was able to match the filter they sent with it to a size Amsoil has.
Coming up next month we will be able to get Mother’s Car Care products. I’m not sure what exactly will be in the line, but I understand there will be roughly 50 items, including the popular Power Ball they advertise in many of the magazines.
I’m not sure if everyone is aware of the various Wix products that are available and that I am able to get. One common one that most don’t realize that they even have in their car, are cabin air filters. These filter the air from the outside of your car that gets drawn in by your fan or AC. These need replacing too, and Wix has a complete line of them. Also, something I stumbled across going through some filter information, is that Wix makes an indicator that monitors how dirty your air filter is getting. They have several different units, including one that mounts inside the car. From what I read, you set the unit when you replace the filter or clean a reusable one like the Amsoil Ea Filters, and then it monitors the airflow. As the filter gets dirty, the airflow gets worse and is indicated on the gauge of this unit. This could be just what you need if you do a lot of offroad driving and are exposed to a large amount of dust.
Speaking of air filters, next month a few of the Amsoil Corporate people will be down for the PRI show at the Orlando Convention Center. We are having a meeting where they will be updating us on the latest filter information. Apparently there is more in the works and hopefully we can get some info on what we have to look forward to.
Snowmobile season is fast approaching. If you live in snow, don’t forget that Amsoil has a full line of 2-Cycle oils available. They even sponsor Snocross racing.
For those not able to ride your motorcycles and are putting them away, or have other summer toys going into storage, don’t forget that Amsoil has Gasoline Stabilizer and also Engine Fogging Oil to help protect them and keep them safe during the winter months.Guess that’s it from me for now.
