As a follow up to my previous blog posting there is a brighter note: with the volatility of the market today, everyone is looking for the best and most cost effective way to save money. Using AMSOIL is one of these ways. Locally by me, service centers have now started charging $3.50 per quart of petroleum oil, with their own cost being maybe 20 cents less. Not much of a profit for them there, and for the consumer, this means every 3000 miles they need to buy another oil change at these prices, if not more by then. They are realizing for around twice the price of one oil change with petroleum they are able to go up to EIGHT TIMES the distance using AMSOIL for around twice the price of their normal oil change. This saves money! Also it isn’t uncommon to experience an increase in MPG when switching to AMSOIL synthetics, and every little bit helps with gas now go over the $3.50 per gallon mark, and over $4 for diesel fuel. In the past I’ve promoted the benefits of using AMSOIL, the wear protection, the drain intervals, the cooler operating temps, etc. But today the deciding factor I’m finding for people is how to save money and by only needing to change oil once rather than 8 times and getting more MPG, it is an even easier decision on what brand of lubrication to use: AMSOIL.
