This past weekend I was a vendor at the HHO Games and Exposition promoting the use of hydrogen generators for cars by using water to create HHO. In a nutshell, these systems use water, H2O, and split the molecule into hydrogen and oxygen, which then enter your engine, burn with your fuel, which then uses less gasoline, and exits the engine as an H2O molecule again. This technology isn’t new, many of the vendors had already been experimenting with this since the 70s, but is now becoming more known and popular because of the ease of knowledge distrubution that the internet now provides.
Some of you have probably seen some of the videos and have personal opinions on whether it works or not, but the purpose of this event was to get various knowledgeable people together to discuss ways of improving on what is being done now and show the kits available by different vendors. These vary from the garage made PVC pipe systems to professionally made and looking units. There was good response from visitors and other vendors for my Amsoil because of the 25,000 mile drains they provide.

Green Hybrid Systems Demo
While there I was impressed with a kit produced by Green Hybrid Systems, which seems to address the onboard ECU current cars have. Most kits seemed to average in price around $500-600, but then depending on the vehicle’s engine size, you might need additional fuel cells to generate the hydrogen need, plus various other equipment to adjust the O2 sensors etc. which ended up boosting cost. This kit, while costing more, has a computer with it to help fine tune the unit to your vehicle, and manages your ECU. If you have an OBDII in your car, it will actually help to adjust the hydrogen production demand needed and controls it based on RPM, speed, etc, instead of creating a constant amount. Besides this, it seems to have several safety systems to protect your car and the system itself, by monitoring the different temperature inputs as well as the cell itself. Should the cell begin to overheat, it will reduce the hydrogen production to cool it down. A handy LCD display gets mounted inside the passenger compartment that shows a constant display of these various parameters so there is no guess work.
They advertise anywhere from 20-70% increase in MPG using there unit, diesels and larger trucks responding the best, but an average seems to be a 30% increase. Cost of the basic system that handles vehicles up to 5 liters is around $1300 (about $500 of that is for the computer management system, so in general it’s not that much more than the other systems but the computer makes it more sophisticated and accurate, as well as easier to tune), and if professionally installed, which you can get certified for through them using an online course, it has a 1 year warranty as well as a 30 day money back guaranty. Many systems I saw you signed a waiver and it was then yours. Because of the clean setup and professionalism, I decided to set myself up to sell the Green Hybrid System.

Installed Green Hybrid Systems HHO Kit
The U.S. seems to be going “green” and because of the way hydrogen burns at a cooler temperature, it doesn’t produce the toxic gasses gasoline alone does which catalytic converters were introduced to to handle. So not only do we as consumers get better MPG, but it also helps keep the air cleaner. Some of the experts in the seminars speaking said an old car running an HHO kit produces less byproducts than newer vehicles with all the emissions systems. Plus, your vehicles is now considered a hybrid, so you are able to take advantage of some tax breaks, something I’m looking into. Green Hybrid Systems and a few of the other manufacturers of these kits have been installing them in fleets with great results in savings for them.
I’ll be posting more updates as I learn more. Should someone be interested in selling these units and/or installing them, let me know, because I am also able to setup other Dealers and service centers. There are several HHO kit installers starting to pop up here in the Central Florida area, with one that just opened a multi-bay garage for HHO installs only and installed 60 units in their first 2-3 weeks of business with favorable results from all their customers. Another is around the corner from me and will soon be open to do installs.
