This past week I started teaching myself a little more there is to know about WordPress. This is the blogging software I use for this blog. Once you get the hang of it and the way you have your blog layout setup, it’s easy to keep up with. I also read you can use it for entire Websites. I’m planning on building one for my the HHO Monster systems I now sell, but before I go into that, I thought I’d test it out on one of my existing and less complex sites. The task is done and you can now visit the new Official Mustang Eyewear Sunglasses Website!
I don’t talk too much about these, because how much can you talk about sunglasses unless new styles come out, etc.? But since I redid the site, I thought I’d plug them here once more.
First off, before rolling your eyes about another knockoff pair of imitation sunglasses trying to steal and ride on the name of a famous car, let me point out that these are Official Licensed Products by Ford. How I started to sell them was meeting the owner at a car show, the first Super Stangfest, held in Daytona, Florida a few years back. I was there with my Amsoil booth and the founder of the company was setup up next to me. Sunglasses aren’t new to him, in fact he has two very popular lines on the market already: Corvette Eyewear and Dive Shades. Mustang Eyewear is his attempt to approach this market with a unique product, but time constraints with the other two brands kept him from doing more at the time. We spoke a bit, and I asked how I could sell them, since I attend several Mustang shows, have a Mustang of my own, and talk to some of the people within the community. And that’s how it began.
Since then it’s been a steady seller with most of my sales taking place through eBay and surprisingly many of those sales are overseas to the European market. I have even made a friend in Germany now who keeps me up to date on the Mustang following there. I wasn’t aware that there was one, but he recently bought a Mustang and goes to the shows there and has sent me pictures. Of course, he’s the only one with true class as he wears his sunglasses everywhere…so far (hint, hint).
